For anyone who stumbles across my blog I thought it only good manners to introduce myself. My name is Rebecca and this is my first blog and therefore my first blog post. Exciting stuff.
I am from the sunny and delightful seaside town of Scarborough, but I study in Leeds. I completed an English degree at the University of Leeds in summer and for some reason I am inflicting more education upon myself, as I have just begun a Masters in Public Relations. I am currently trying to absorb as much information as possible about PR, marketing, advertising and comunications generally in an attempt to find out which area I will be best suited once I finally make it out into the big scary world of work.
I am currently attending a work placement at Wolfstar consultancy in Leeds once a week. I am really enjoying my time at Wolfstar and feel like I am learning a great deal about social media but also about life in a lively communications atmosphere – I have also learned how to make coffee, which I’m worryingly proud of. As a student in a lot of debt I fill the rest of my weekdays working at Headingley Stadium, helping to sell and market sporting events. If I get any spare time I love being by the sea, cinema trips, ikea trips and amaretto.
